Jin Shin Jyutsu


Overcoming fear


Often it is difficult to overcome old fears.
In order to help our bodies we can apply one of the flows of Jin Shin Jyutsu® and balance the kidney flow and thus lessen the fear:
1. With your left hand you hold the little toe of your right foot, while placing your right hand on your pubis.
2. Then place your left hand on your tailbone while keeping your right hand on your pubis.
3. For the rest of the practice, your left hand remains on your tailbone.
4. With your right hand touch on the left side of your body energy point 14, next to the lowest rib.
5. Then you touch energy point 13 on the left side of your body, at 4 inches below the clavicle.
6. Finally you touch energy point 12 on the left side of your body, next to the middle of the cervical vertebrae.

After this you repeat the same on the other side:
1. With your right hand you touch the little toe of your left foot, while touching your pubis with your left hand.
2. Then you place your right hand on your tailbone while keeping your left hand on your pubis.
3. Your right hand remains on your tailbone for the rest of the practice, while your left hand successively touches on the right side of your body energy point 14, energy point 13 and energy point 12.

The sixth depth

 

The sixth depth, the area around our navel, is the place where our physical being and the energy we ARE come together.
We may prevent entanglement in the chaos of the world by placing our attention in the centre of our bodies. By doing this we learn to remain present in our own strength, and to feel connected to the source of our being. Time and again we may return to this place in our bodies and thus balance our lives.

The palms of our hands are also connected to the primal fire of our being.

We may harmonize the sixth depth by resting the fingers or the thumb of one hand in the middle of the palm of the other hand, or by placing the palm and the fingers of one hand, in a gesture of reverence, against the palm and the fingers of the other hand.

We may harmonize the diaphragm flow by touching energy point 14 on the right side with the left hand, while touching energy point 19 on the left side with the right hand.
And the other way around by touching energy point 14 on the left side with the right hand, while touching energy point 19 on the right side with the left hand.

We may harmonize the navel flow by touching energy point 20 on right side of the forehead with the left hand while touching energy point 19 on the left side with the right hand.
And the other way around: by touching energy point 20 on the left side of the forehead with the right hand while touching energy point 19 on the right side with the left hand.
