The burden I experience is for other reasons than I think.

We think: if others behaved differently, I would feel better. If fate were different, I would feel better. If I were able to do this, I would feel better. If I had that, I would feel better. These thoughts have no meaning in themselves. Our discontent troubles us for other reasons than we think. Apply this idea to the forms of discontent you are confronted with in the course of the day.
