Desire

When my husband got ill, I knew it was important for him to know that I was with him and that I would not abandon him.
Now that he is no longer here, I still experience my desire for intimacy and companionship.
If I’m not careful, it feels like a great loss, like being torn.
Today I decide to turn that feeling around.
I put a hand on my heart and let myself know that I feel myself, that I am close to me and enjoy myself.
I see you, I feel you, I am with you.

Inside the cave

Perhaps the greatest power we have at our disposal
is intention.
We can embody her
every time a bit more
by knowing what we want
and sensing how it feels
when we live these desires.
This will bring what we yearn for
a little closer.

For me always
the higher values
want to express themsellves.
That’s just the way it is.

Intimacy
Companionship
Fulfillment
Peace
Freedom

May the atmosphere
of this painting inside a cave
give us the space
to awaken our deepest desires
and may we live the fulfillment of them.

May peace on earth
come closer.

Postcards from the Cosmos

   

     

Letting paint flow over watercolor paper brings me a lot of innovation.
I learn that for me at this moment it is not about making beautiful paintings, but about expressing that creation itself is beauty.
I’m so happy when these “Postcards of the Cosmos” show some of this.

Painting with the Cosmos

For some time now, I have felt the need to paint more organically, more freely, more fluidly.
I bought natural tincture, and color powders. Also lime paste, marble powder, but that wasn’t the end of it.
Apparently, the teacher appears when our inner self is looking for something.
This time it was Suzettte Clough. Her course “Painting with the Cosmos” will start in November.
I felt a big “ÿes”” inside, signed up and bought her book “Visual Medicine”.
The little painting on paper that I am showing here is my first attempt to work according to her method.
This makes me happy.

Wisdom woman

This month a group of women is gathering through the internet, to paint "Wisdom Woman" under the guidance of Flora Aube.
We paint according to the "Art of Allowing", which means that we do not have a preset plan for the painting, but we follow our inner nudges instead.
A fierce woman who is aware of her femininity appeared on my canvas.
The result is always a surprise.

Ocean girl

In the intensive painting course I am taking we are now encouraged to find our own voice.
I feel that I want to continue with watercolor for a while.
This is not offered in the course, so I will have to find my own way.
Ocean girl is the first result of this search.

Waiting

 

Thie painting expresses a kind of zero point in my way of painting.
It is the last of my okd style and the new isn’t here yet.
I spend this Sunday outside, on my terrace.
The weather is good.
And I listen to my inside, looking for the way I want to go.
I don’t need to do anything…
On Youtube I watch instruction videos for watercolor painting.
Especially fluid, free expression fascinates me and fuels my enthouosiasm.
A bit of ’messing around‘ with paint, ink and water appeals to me.
I wait and see what will happen.

Expressing the feminine

Since the beginning of December I have been taking an intensive painting course, online.
I had planned to carry out all the assignments and to resist as little as possible.
It was hard, but I wanted to do it.
Charcoal drawings, still lives, a street in Paris with perspective, all kinds of things.
But I missed the holy fire.
My resistance grew.
This time I allowed myself to choose my own subject for the black on black oil painting.
Suddenly my fingers knew what they wanted to do and the result resonated with my inner being.
To express the feminine, that’s what I want.
